Premier Mxolisi Dukwana hands over certificates to engineering students, 17 May

Media is hereby advised that, the Premier of the Free State – Mxolisi Dukwana – will meet students whose legacy debt was settled by the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Sector Education Training Authority (merSETA).

The Premier will be joined by the merSETA Chairperson: Ms Kate Moloto. This is a sequel to the formal ceremony that awarded 1500 students on 17th April. 2023, in the engineering faculties of Motheo TVET College, CUT and UFS, funds in excess of R76 Million, to pay debt that they would otherwise be unable to settle.

This great stride in supporting Engineering students; in particular, those from the cohort of historically disadvantaged individuals (HDIs), strongly paves the way for enhancing their futures and prospects and life chances in general.
