Addis Ababa, Military attaches of different countries and representatives of international organizations residing in Addis Ababa have visited the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).
Ethiopian Defense Force Foreign Relations and Military Cooperation Director Major General Teshome Gemechu said during the visit that GERD is a huge project that integrates the region with development.
The aim of the visit is to enable the military attachés see and understand the reality of the benefits of the dam in connecting the region with development without causing significant damage to the downstream countries, he noted.
Military attaches of 47 countries and representatives of international institutions visited the grand dam.
Fully financed by the Ethiopian people, GERD is the source of national pride for Ethiopians
