GROBLERSDAL - The SAPS Groblersdal Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Unit (FCS) in Groblersdal led by the Provincial coordinator Brigadier (Dr) Mabasa together with Colonel Mhlarhi and Lieutenant Colonel Mamadisa have today at 12H00 visited Groblersdal Hospital to donate 60 Comfort packs to Groblersdal Thuthuzela Care Centre.
Thuthuzela Care Centre is an organization that offers support and assistance to victims of rape and other crimes by providing them a safe space to report rape cases. Thuthuzela Care Centre has partnered with the Police, Social Workers and Doctors to help the victims in reporting crimes and turn them from being victims to survivors.
After the handing over of the packs Thuthuzela Care Centre coordinator Mr Mabirimisa took FCS Provincial coordinator Brigadier (Dr) Mabasa, Lieutenant Colonel Mamadisa and colleagues on a tour to the Thuthuzela Mobile building which included a bedroom, bathroom kitchen, Play room for the Kids and also a doctor's office for examining the victims.
Every pack was branded with massages of support to restore their dignity and to remind the survivors that they are "strong, fabulous and brave".
Groblersdal Victim Assistance Officer Moloko Ramaphakela sent out words of appreciation to SAPS and welcomed the Comfort packs with warm hands saying that the comfort packs will be of great help to the victims and they are really grateful with what SAPS has done.
