Accused appeared in court for theft

KWAZULU-NATAL – On Friday 26 August 2022, Bheki Dladla (48) briefly appeared in the Verulam Magistrate’s Court for theft of cash.

It is alleged that in 2018, Dladla fraudulently transferred R189 000-00 from the complainant’s account to his two business accounts. A case of theft was reported at Verulam police station and the case docket was allocated to the Hawks members from Durban Serious Commercial Crime Investigation.

A warrant of arrest was obtained and he was circulated. As a result, he was arrested by police at Musina boarder post on 18 August 2022. He was transferred to Verulam police station for detention where he was released on R20 000.00 bail. The case was postponed to 07 October 2022.
