Ethiopia, China to Strengthen Partnership in Governance and Research

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and China will continue to strengthen their partnership in governance and research, House of People's Representatives (HPR) Speaker Tagesse Chafo said.

A delegation led by Vice President of China National Academy of Governance (CNAG), Professor Gong Weibin, and HPR Speaker Tagesse Chafo held discussion today about issues that strengthen the partnership between the two countries.

During the occasion, the speaker pointed out that Ethiopia and China have a long-standing relationship in various fields.

He also appreciated the readiness of China's National Academy of Governance to share its experience in management training and research with Ethiopia.

It is crucial to consolidate the strategic partnership of the two countries by sharing relevant experiences to the objective condition of Ethiopia since the academy is an internationally reputed institutions with many scholars, the speaker added.

Tagesse further stated that the cooperation agreement the Chinese National Academy of Governance and the African Leadership Excellence Academy are going to sign soon will strengthen the relationship between the countries.

CNAG Vice President Professor Gong Weibin said on his part that China will continue to consolidate its cooperation with Ethiopia and Africa, and the support the academy provides for Ethiopia in the field of training and research will continue to be strengthened.
